Music therapy is a profession that is a widely recognised health-care profession in countries such as United Kingdom, United States, Australia etc., and is slowly developing in Hong Kong. It is through the use of music that one can enhance their physical and mental well-being.
During pregnancy, the mother will go through hormonal and physical changes. These changes can create anxieties for the mother, which could affect the baby’s growth. After giving birth, mothers may experience post-natal depression and it is important to address such issues.
Here at the Music for Life Music Therapy Clinic, we offer a comfortable place for mothers to feel safe, relaxed, and happy. Our program is conducted by a registered music therapist, will help you to prepare for the birth of your special one. As amazing as it sounds, babies develop hearing during16th week of pregnancy and are fully developed at birth. Therefore music is the one of the best way to bond with your baby even before birth!
After attending this program, you will have...
1) a complete list of music that is tailored to your needs according to different stages for pain relief without medication.
2) You will also be able to write a womb song for your baby. The process of writing the song may enhance the emotional bonding between you spouse and your baby as you will secret oxytocin (a hormone that make you feel loved) during this creative process!
3) Daily music and movement exercise to condition your body to prepare for your birth.
在Music For Life音樂治療中心，我們為母親提供一個舒適的地方讓她們感到安全、輕鬆和愉快。，由註冊音樂治療師運作，將協助您預備分娩。
